Position:Software Product Specialist [Clinical/BioInformatics] - Training, customer support and consultancy

SlidePath is a company dedicated to the delivery of world leading software for Digital Slide and Life Sciences Informatics Applications. SlidePath are currently seeking a product specialist for their Distiller product which is established as the best of breed information management solution for Biobanking and Clinical and lifesciences Data Management.

The Distiller Product Specialist will work as part of a strong customer support team dedicated to providing a professional and efficient service to SlidePath Customers. Their main responsibility is to support customers who use the Distiller data management software, by analysing their data and workflows and advising on best practices.

Job Description:

• Liaising with customers from lifescience and clinical research fields on a daily basis
• Effectively Dealing with customer queries and escalating issues to the technical support team when required.
• Consulting with customers, examining data and work flow requirements and advising on best dataset structures.
• Supporting and training new and existing customers both on site and via webinar.
• Setting up demonstration prototypes for customers & aiding the business development executives.
• Assist in Software Testing & Documentation

Qualification: Msc in a Life Science or Bioinformatics discipline and/or appropriate experience.

Experience: Experience in customer facing activities such as sales, support and/or training

Required Skills:

• Very good communications skills both written and oral
• Excellent accuracy and attentiveness to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Windows
• Excellent organisational, analytical and time management skills - demonstrating the ability to prioritise workload
• Self motivated individual with drive, enthusiasm and commitment
• Good understanding of data management preferably with experience in dealing with clinical and/or omics data
• Experience in customer facing activities such as sales, support and/or training

Candidates must possess a valid work visa for Ireland (and travel within the EU). SlidePath's customers are located throughout Europe there will be some element of travel required.
